The Intriguing 1914 Star awarded to Joseph Marshall, 3rd Battalion Connaught Rangers who landed in France on the 11th of September 1914 and whose Medal Index Card and Medal Roll both state “Died of Wound” but no date can be found and he is not listed on the Commonwealth War Graves Roll, The 3rd Battalion were the Depot Battalion and this seems to correspond with the Issue of the Star on the Medal Roll&nbsp;comprising, 1914 Star, (3966 Pte J. Marshall. 3/Conn: Rang.), very fine&nbsp;(1)&nbsp;Sold with Copy Medal Index Card and Copy Medal Roll both showing “Died of Wounds”
