The 1914 Star awarded to Corporal, later Serjeant, George Frederick Kill, 1st Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment who was Killed in Action “at Ypres” 1st of June 1915 comprising 1914 Star, (9498 Cpl G.F. Kill. 1/E. York: R.), very fine (1)
George Frederick Kill was the son of Samuel James and Elizabeth Kill of 11, Foord Street, Rochester Kent. He enlisted at Chatham and proceeded to France with the 1st Battalion, landing in France on the 8th of September 1914 was Killed in Action, Aged 21, on the 1st of June 1915, his Pension Papers state “At Ypres, his body was not located after the War and he is commemorated on Panel 21 of the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial,
