Description
The 1914 Star awarded to Private Morris Benbow, 5th Dragoon Guards who was wounded at Ypres on the 21st of October 1914 by a Gunshot Wound to his Chest and another to his Ankle, he was made a Prisoner of War and taken to Prisoner of War Hospital 1 Brussels. He was issued with his1914 Christmas Tin whilst in Hospital! Then held at Gardelegen Prison Camp, being held there until he returned to England on the 1st of January 1919 comprising 1914 Star copy Aug – Nov Clasp, (642 Pte W. Benbow. 5/D. Gds:), very fine (1)
