Description
The 1914 Star awarded to Private Joseph Fellows, 2nd Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment who had seen Active Service in South Africa, landed in France on the 27th of August 1914 and who was Wounded in Action at Becelare near Polygon Wood on the 27th of October 1914 and again on the 18th of April 1918 with Shrapnel to Back and Arm comprising, 1914 Star (5847 Pte J. Fellows. 2/S. Staff: R.), very fine (1)
Joseph Fellows enlisted on the 6th of February 1900 serving in South Africa from May 1900 to November 1903, posted to the BEF in France with his Battalion arriving on the 27th of August 1914, wounded 27th of October 1914 and returned to England for 74 days in hospital and convalescence. Wounded again with Shrapnel wounds to Arm and Back on the 18th of April 1918, discharged due to wounds on the 6th of November 1918. Awarded Silver War Badge number B55537.
