Description
The 1914 Star awarded to Corporal Frederick Pottle, 2nd Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment who was Discharged Wounded on the 17th of August 1917 comprising, 1914 Star, entitled to Aug-Nov Clasp, (8418 Cpl F. Pottle. 2/W. York: R.), very fine. The 1914 Star awarded to Private Charles Frederick Price, 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards, who was wounded on the Somme in 1916, comprising 1914 Star, entitled to Aug-Nov Clasp, (15017 Pte C.F. Price. 2/G. Gds:), very fine (2)
Frederick Pottle joined the West Yorkshire Regiment on the 5th of March 1907 he proceeded to France on the 5th of November 1914. He was wounded in action and discharged on the 17th of August 1917 being issued Silver War Badge Number 131,092.
