USA: 1953 cover to Honolulu, Hawaii carried aboard the barge 'Young Brothers' which along with the bags of mail rather foolishly carried cylinders of highly flammable gases.  The barge caught fire in Hawaiian waters causing extensive damage resulting in the loss of nearly all mail bags and cargo, envelope charred with adhesive lost, bearing two line ''DAMAGED BY FIRE ON SHIP HONOLULU, HAWAII 'JUl 28 1953' h/s cachet in violet, rare with only a handful examples of mail known from this wreck.
