USA: 1945 printed envelope to Chile franked by 1½ct, carried aboard the ''S.S. John Bidwell'' which left New York in July 1945 for Valparaiso, however upon the end of the War the ship was diverted to the Far East and never completed her intended voyage. The ship was scrapped in Philadelphia in 1960 and the breakers happened upon a hidden compartment containing more than 500 bags of mail!
