The Meritorious Service Medal awarded to Acting Sub Conductor Albert Henry Stevenson Royal Army Ordnance Corps who was awarded the M.S.M. for Valuable Services rendered with the British Forces in North Russia, the Murmansk Command comprising, Meritorious Service Medal, GVR, (S-6101 Pte – A Sub: Condr: - A H Stevenson, R.A.O.C.) the rank of “Pte” has been crudely erased but just very faintly legible, otherwise very fine (1)

Acting Warrant Officer Class 1 Acting Sub Conductor Albert Henry Stevenson joined the Army on the 15th of January 1908, he was Discharged on the 1st of September 1919. He obviously erased the Private from his medal as a moment of pride in his acting rank!
