Birmingham, P Kempson’s Series of Birmingham Buildings, Halfpenny undated, Hotel, rev. Arms of Birmingham in circular legend, edge plain, 29mm/11.74gm. (DH 208). Another but obv. the Hotel, 29mm/13.25gm. (DH 210). Another but obv. the Soho Manufactory, 29mm/11.72gm. (DH 212). Another similar with inner legend and period on rev. and 29mm/9.34gm. (DH 213). Another but obv. the Birmingham Theatre, 10.65gm. (DH 215). Another similar but with period on rev., 29mm/14.27gm. (DH 216), Another the same but lightly bronzed, 29mm/13.65gm. (DH 216), all good Extremely Fine with much reflection and iridescence, DH 208, 210, 213 and 216 with almost full original lustre, ‘RRR’[7]. DH 208, 210, 202,213 and 215 ex F S Cokayne Col., his tickets – first bought 4 Nov 1895 for 45/6 with 28 other pieces. Acquired AHB c. 1946.
