Description
A Great War Pair and Memorial Plaque awarded to Private John Rowland Gumb”B” Company 1st/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment) (Robin Hood Battalion) who was posted Missing on the 6th of March 1918 and whose Death was Officially recorded as the 17th of March 1918. His Body was found in December 1920. Comprising 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals (257443 Pte. J. R. Gumb. Notts. & Derby. R.), Memorial Plaque, (John Rowland Gumb), very fine (3)
John was the son of John Thomas and Mary Ann Gumb of 2, Coop Villas, Morden Moor, Norbriggs Chesterfield, Derbyshire, he was 21 years old when he Died. He is Buried in Plot 3 Row B Garve 36 of Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy , France.
