Indian States: 1930s to 40s collection of Court Fees and Revenues all originating from the L.V. Indap & Co sample book, (many on piece or backing papers) from an array of Princely states both imperf and perforated including: Barwani Court Fee 1a imperf proof in deep brown, Balasinor Court Fee in purple, Bahawalpur State Court Fee 1r black and red perforated sample, Gwalior State Court Fee 8a red imperf proof (with defective corner reattached with hinge), Bharatpur State type 6 imperf undenominated proof in black, (with portion of the design touched up in chinese white) Bonai State 1938-41 type 5 1r crimson imperf proof, Charkhari State Court Fee undenominated proof in black, Danta State 1r green optd ‘CANCELLED’ in mauve, Jawhar State 1940-45 type 5 1r yellow-brown proof, this series only known as Indap samples, Kapurthala 1940-45 type 8 Court Fee 5r steel blue, Kurundwad State Court Fee undenominated proof in red, Malpur State Court Fee 50r olive-brown optd ‘CANCELLED’, Narsingarh State Court Fee imperf 1a proof, Sayla State in deep blue, Sudasna State type 10 1a brown, etc… Mixed condition, many with faults (tears, creases/splits, pinholes, trimmed etc…) Nevertheless a rare and valuable lot with some being the only recorded examples.
