Indian States: 1920s to 40s collection of Stamped Paper header proofs all originating from the L.V. Indap & Co sample book, (many on piece or backing papers) from an array of Princely states, including Baghelkhand 1940-45 type 25 unissued 40r value in brown-purple, Barwani 1933-43 type 60 unissued 1a value in brown, Charkhari 1939-47 type 10 undenominated proof in black, Jath, Kurundwad Senior 1937-38 type 25 undenominated proof in black optd ‘CANCELLED’, Miraj Junior undenominated proof in black, Palitana State 1945 type 30 undenominated proof in black, Pal-Lahara 1948 type 15 4a proof in black, Piploda State 1940 type 20 unissued 8a value in deep blue, etc. Mixed condition many with faults. Still a very rare assembly of proofs, many of which are only known from the Indap sample books. (19)
