<p>Postal Note. c1870 IPN overprints on QV 8a (Die II) 1r & 2r8a on 12a mint o.g., 1r x 2 one with brown gum, the other unpleasant on the reverse, the 2r8a with a heavy bend. &nbsp;More significant is the trio overprinted SPECIMEN in seriffed type 15 x 1½mm, Samuel Type 10; all have hinge remainders. &nbsp;The 8a has thin gum and a foxed area under the hinge; the 2r8a has a couple of foxed spots confined to the selvedge. Still very presentable example of these popular stamps.&nbsp;</p>
