1885 (circa) proof sheet of twenty of the 2a in orange red on European laid paper, some staining and with manuscript defacement. Small faults, but a unique and important proof sheet
  
This sheet was obtained by Stuart Godfrey from the engraver's book and is illustrated in Staal (Plate 14).  According to Sefi and Mortimer the state of the plate, with white rings around the marginal screw-heads, indicates production "about 1885 or later".
