9d Dull green. Two forgeries (BA & HO) on genuine watermarked paper with genuine original cancellations (the method was ingenious, the designs of used lower values were faded out and the forged 9d. impression then printed over the top), BA with light crease and small closed tear at left, otherwise fine. These dangerous imitations are though to be the work a Belgian counterfeiter called Lucian Smeets. SG195var.
