Description
Impressed Revenues. 1868-83 range of documents (19) and cut-outs (12). Documents bearing 3c (2), 10c, 25c (3), 36c, 50c, $1.50, $2, $3, $5, $5 + $2.50, $10, $15, $20, $30 and $50 + $35; the $50 being the highest recorded value in the series. Two 25c and the 50c are used in Malacca with ‘Singapore’ excised from the impression; one 3c document is the earliest recorded bearing a decimal impressed stamp; the $20 document the latest recorded date for impressed stamps in Singapore, 16th January 1883. The cut-outs include 3c, 5c, 12c, 20c (2), $1, $10 + $30 with two used in Malacca. Condition obviously mixed but a remarkable collection, with many rare items, between McClellan Z21-53
