Description
Social Security. 1971-7 collection with the first issue (printed by De La Rue in Dublin) in unmounted mint blocks of four; second issue, watermarked PTM on fluorescent paper, the 10c in an unmounted block of four with the $1.10 to $2.50 in imperforate proof blocks of four, the $1.10 block with a crease and fingerprint; third issue with wide figures on ordinary paper, 30c to $5.60 blocks on four; fourth issue with no watermark on glazed paper set less 90c, $2.70 and $3.80 in unmounted blocks of four. Also an undenominated interpanneau strip of four, ungummed, in a dark blue unlike any issued stamp, folded up margin, with a defect ringed in red. Used are represented by six Employee Contribution cards partially filled with cancelled stamps (two with a little foxing, one from 1977 having the $3.80 value, which is not known from the archive)
