1855 (21 Apr) entire from Singapore to Switzerland, endorsed “via Trieste” and franked at 8a rate by India 1854 4a blue and red (Head Die II, Frame Die I) horizontal pair (outer frameline touched at left and top), cancelled by diamond of hollow dots, with various rate markings and blue sender's cachet on face, and partial blue arrival cds on reverse; the entire a little worn along folds, nevertheless an attractive and very rare franking. Ex Spink Singapore (24 Jun 2000, lot 72).
