1855 (5 APR) entire from Singapore to Calcutta, endorsed “per Lady Mary Wood” and franked by India 1854 1a red (Die I - cut in at right), tied by diamond of hollow dots, the reverse with “SINGAPORE / P.O.” despatch cds and framed “CALCUTTA / SHIP LETTER” ds; some light creasing and edge wear, but scarce. Ex Nunez (SGA 7 Dec 1988, lot 913) and Spink Singapore (24 Jun 2000, lot 70).
