1876 (SP 2) cover from Singapore to Scotland, franked by 1867-72 4c rose (crossed by pressed vertical fold) and 24c blue-green (2), tied by individual strikes of “B-172” octagon with red despatch cds alongside and Airdrie arrival (OC 7) backstamp; the envelope with faults, but a very rare franking illustrating the short-lived 28c rate (in force from June 1876 to 1 Apr 1877) plus 24c for “Late Fee”.
