1859 (12 MAY) entire from Singapore to Spain, “Matia” correspondence, franked by India 1856-66 8a carmine (2), cancelled by individual strikes of “B-172” octagon, with red crayon “1/10” rating and blue Gibraltar “JY 4” transit cds alongside, and on reverse a very fine strike of “SINGAPORE / P.O.” despatch cds in bright red; neat and attractive, and far above average.
