POSTAL HISTORY: three covers all bearing “Post Office Jebba” manuscript cancels: an exceptional example in red ink on cover to Bavaria, Germany dated 11 AU 1900, used three times to cancel a pair and a single 1900 1d QV issues and a pair of 1900 2½d QV issues. Lokoja oval cancels (14 AU 1900) also tying the stamps and applied on reverse, fine. Second on cover to Belgium with a 1900 2½d QV issue dated 28 MY 01, Plymouth Ship Letter cds applied on reverse (4 JY 1901), vertical fold not affecting the stamp. Finally a 1900 1d QV cancelled in scarcer purple ink, dated 1 JY 1901, addressed to England, Lokoja oval cancel on reverse (6 JY 1901), Mortlake receiver (1 AU 1901), vertical fold and torn back flap. A scarce group given the destinations and ink variety
