POSTAL HISTORY: 1850s-1890s selection of covers including selection of incoming mail from Great Britain, India local frankings and out going mail. We note 1862 entire to London franked by no wmk 8a carmine with forwarding cachet of Forbes and Co, various other covers displaying many rates, for Via Marseilles, Brindisi, UPU etc.. with many identified markings, mixed condition, a most interesting lot.
