POSTCARDS: Collection of early picture postcards, 272 in all, majority pre-1910 with good range of scenes, including: Lipton series, many of indigenous people, tea industry, elephants, railway views, views of Colombo, countryside scenery, etc. Many with interesting postal usage e.g. to visiting Italian Royal Naval Warship “Liguria”, 1911 SON Mount Lavinia cds. Excellent collection with little duplication of images, many used with stamps still attached.
