POSTAL HISTORY: 1898-69 range of envelopes/postcards including 1898 "NILE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE/SOUDAN" franked with 1p blue and brown cancelled with 'DARMALI/S.P.S./11 JUL 98' ds, backstamped 'Wadi Halfa (13.7) transit and 'Stow, Scotland' (27.7) arrival cds (envelope cut-down and reinforced), range of Camels frankings, 1935 Gordon set on cover and censored (6) with 1941 'Active Service' printed envelope with Sudan stamps used in Eritrea.
