Forty-eighth Balloon of the Siege: 1870 printed Ballon Monte lettersheet to Tulle franked by Ceres 20c Republic, tied by Star mark with Paris Rue d'Enghien, cds for 22 Dec, carried on the Balloon the 'Deliverance' which departed Paris on 23 Dec, backstamped by Tulle arrival mark for 26 Dec, archival folds, still fine.
