1938-52 coil-join pairs, small display collection written up on leaves. Vertical-delivery pairs of ½d, 1d and 2d (latter each perf 14), quickly withdrawn and replaced by horizontal-delivery pairs, with copies of correspondence to that effect between the Crown Agents and DLR. Later coils with three ½d pairs, 1d perf 13½ watermark sideways with short coil-end or leader attached, and 4 x 2d in both colours including the scarce grey, perf 13½ watermark sideways (SG 124ab, £1600) with rather good perfs for this and lightly hinged
