1939 censored envelope to Tasmania franked with ½d vertical strip of three tied by 'GENERAL POST OFFICE/27 SEP 39/OCEAN ISLAND' datestamps, showing fine violet 'PASSED BY CENSOR' straight-line hs  along with Launceston 18 OCT 39 arrival cancel. This censor strike was only used for the first couple of months of the war (September and October 1939) and is very seldom seen. Fine
