1868 envelope to England, endorsed 'Officer's Letter/from/ W.W.W. Poole/Staff Surgn. Major' and countersigned by his commanding officer at lower left, franked with 6d tied by '1' in 'boot-heel' canceller, the reverse with Barbados cds for 'DE.10.68' and Chatham cds for 'DE.28.68'. A few small repairs to the envelope at top that do not detract from its' fine appearance
