Official mail.  1887 registered envelope (280 x 125mm) to Stanley Gibbons & Co. in Gower Street.  Has TONGA GOVERNMENT/FRANK marking at upper right (Proud OPD 1), the D1 datestamp for 4 MR 87 (without the obliterator portion, Proud D1, over seven months earlier than recorded by him), and the registered oval cachet Type R3 (over seven years earlier than recorded by Proud) with the manuscript number '11'. emphasising the early date of this rare cover.  London arrivals of MY 2.  Some faults, as to be expected; several folds, small tears, etc.
