1895 (JU 25) registered cover to London franked by the six values then in issue, comprising 1878-79 1s bistre-brown no watermark and 1891-1902 ½d green (1892 printing), 1d claret (1894 printing), 2½d dull blue (a lovely deep shade from the Nov 1891 printing), 4d olive-black (May 1895 printing, which had arrived the day before!) and 6d orange-yellow (Nov 1891 printing) tied by three fine strikes of type F1 cds with ‘(crown)/registered’ hs and London arrival ds (30 AU 95) below with further arrival cds on reverse. A wonderful six-colour franking of considerable interest, bearing what is likely to be the earliest known usage of the 4d olive-black. SG 4, 16/33x
