<p>1902-03 set of eight frame die proofs for the 1903-04 ½a to 8a values, each in black on glazed card (92 x 60mm), stamped 'BEFORE HARDENING' at upper right (except 2a without handstamp), and dated in blue at upper left, variously '27 NOV 02' (½a) or between '20 APR 03' and '24 APR 03'. An important production record, and a rare opportunity to obtain a complete set. [The early date of the ½a value reflects its use for colour trials in Jan 1903, although the issued stamp did not appear until 1904.] for SG 1/8</p>
