1850s-c.1900s postal history collection, many still on original dealers' cards with strength in Papal/Roman States, including 1861 cover to France bearing Papal States 6 baj and 8baj (Sassone 7-9) 1866 cover to USA bearing Papal States 1852 8baj (Sassone 9) in horizontal strip of four, (touching to good margins) tied by barred rhomboid, with Roma despatch mark and Boston USA arrivals in red. Assorted other covers from the same issue mostly internally addressed and sent. Sardinia 1858 entire letter to England, bearing 20c indigo and 40c rose-vermilion (Sassone 15E-16F) tied by Gevova cds, with London arrivals. Italy 1862 entire letter to Caen France, franked by 40c (perforated issue) tied by Milano cds (Sassone 3). Mixed condition with fine. Many interesting and attractive covers.
