1840s-1930s postal history collection all used in Pondicherry French India, including pre-stamp entire letters addressed to France bearing differing types of Pondicherry Paid boxed handstamps, 1854-55 1a and later East India ½a blues bearing ‘C-111’ type 6 cancel, later Pondicherry ‘111’ type 9 duplex, and squared circles, QV Telegraph 8a, 1r & 10r stamps reconstructing the straight-line Pondicherry telegraphic cancel, examples of the Pondicherry Bazaar cancellation with examples on registered cover and 1936 picture postcard bearing KGV ½a (on front of postcard) tied by a fine strike of the cds for 12 FEB 36, mixed condition with mostly fine and neat strikes. A good lot for the specialist.
