1800s-1900s collection of French Military postal history, with pre-stamp entire letters from Napoleonic Wars, including 1806 entire letter, from a soldier in ‘No.7 Grand Armee’, dated 17th July 1806 and rated at ‘8’, to be collected upon receipt. 1808 Peninsular War entire letter addressed to London from a British Officer, endorsed ‘Mondego Bay, 2nd August 1808’ and rated at 1/.2, backstamped by Plymouth Ship Letter oval h/s and London arrival for Aug 16, 1811 two entries during the Peninsular Wars bearing ‘No.1 Arm.De. Portugal’ h/s in red, rated at ‘9’ and ‘8’ respectively, 1813, part entire, bearing 'Arm.De Catalongne' h/s in red, rated at ‘11’ and addressed to Paris. Mixed condition, still an interesting lot with scarcer items. (10)
