1935 Photogravure 6d purple. The superb unissued design block of six with shaded background to head, mounted on card and annotated "Proof on Coated Paper (toned background)" and dated "25.2.36". Due to problems with the fugitve ink and the photogravure process this issue was eventually abandoned. A magnificent and unique exhibition piece and one of the great George V rarities.
