GB Used Abroad; Ecuador. 1874 envelope to France (reduced and opened at top and right, no backflap), bearing two examples of 1d rose-red Plate 138 (not listed in Part 1) and 1s green Plate 9, each tied by partially faint but identifiable C41 numerals of Guayaquil. Sent via Panama and Southampton, various markings including Panama-Transit cds, accountancy mark, Calais transit and handstruck '90'. A busy cover and rather attractive, despite the truncations. SG Z3, Z28.
