1876 GB Used Abroad. Very fine single rate registered cover from Malta to Marseille prepaid by a 6d grey Pl.13 and ½d rose-red Pl.13 (2½d postage plus 4d registration). Both neatly tied Malta 'A25' type 4 numerals with a red REGISTERED/MALTA cds at left for OC.6.1876 and a Marseille receiving cds at right for the 11th. Routed via Sicily and Italy with Messina, and Ambulane Torino-Modane datestamps on reverse for 7th and 10th respectively. Lovely quality.
