1857 1d Rose-red Pl.36. Very fine envelope sent locally within Clackmanan bearing a 1d rose-red Pl.36. (SG 40) lettered AL, tied by a blue "CLACKMANAN" Scots local cancellation (Type XX). Light horizontal crease affecting top of adhesive nevertheless an attractive example of this rare cancellation. Alcock scarcity rating G. Ex. "Claymore".
