1840 2d Mulready Envelope (Stereo a201). Very fine used example sent from London to Felton, neatly cancelled by a crisp London City "3" numeral with a "Paddington" receiving house handstamp alongside. Backstamped by a London dispatch cds for MY.17.1847. A couple of minor peripheral faults, nevertheless a fine late usage Mulready. Ex "Mayflower".
