<p>Postal Stationery. 1916 (6 SEP) 1d red “Admiral” envelope (135 x 80mm - with embossed imprint), used from Shamva and sent registered to Liverpool, uprated with 1913-19 4d “Admiral”, head die II, perf 15 (SG 245), tied by mostly very fine strikes of SHAMVA / S. RHODESIA cds, with black/pink registration label at left and Liverpool arrival (6 OC) backstamp. Slight envelope faults, still an extraordinary and almost certainly unique usage.
