USED ABROAD: 1880s-1930s group of seven covers including: Baghdad c.1880s cover from Baghdad to Bombay franked by 1873 ½a blue (Die II), tied by ‘B’ in bars and Bagdad cds alongside, Persian Gulf 1899 cover from Linga to Bombay franked by 1882 ½a blue-green marginal block of 8 (4x2) tied by Linga squared circles for AU 29, 1900 Boer War cover from Bellary-Camp to Ahmednagar, franked by 1882 ½a tied by Bellary-Camp cds for 29 AU, scarce example of inter-camp mail, Nepal 1922 registered cover addressed to the Prime Minister of Nepal, franked by KGV 1911-22 ½a pair and 2a, French India: Mahe registered cover to Crannanore franked by India 1926-33 3p, ½a and 3a pair, tied by Mahe cds for 11 AU, with provisional registration label at left, 1935 cover from Karikal to Thayetkon, and Aden 1936 cover from Sheikh Othan to Perim franked by 1932-36 1a3p tied by Sheikh Othan cds for 4 APR, generally fair to fine condition, an interesting group, many attractive frankings.
