1909 2d Colour trial. Very fine example printed in dull purple on yellow, gummed, Crown watermarked paper. Produced for the proposed monocolour issue that was subsequently abandoned on the death of the King. Minor corner fault at top left neverthless very rare, no more than two or three examples of each colour recorded in private hands. Ex. "Aurelius" & "Minoru".
