Description
Tribal Taxes. Ukualuthi. Three Registration cards, the first a red card with payments for 1935-1939 with two 1913 South Africa large KGV head 5/- revenues with the small type "UKUALUTHI / S.W.A." overprints (one with damaged corner and creased) and three 1936 5/- green and brown postage stamps each with the silver bar at the base with the "UKUALUTHI" overprint in black, one creased by the card fold, the remaining stamps in fine fresh condition. The front of the card carries a note that this individual is Exempt from further payments. The second a buff card with a single 5/- with the silver bar at the base, "UKUALUTHI" overprint in black, the card and stamp in fine condition; the third a yellow card with payments for 1948-1951 with four 2d blue and brown postage stamps with red diamonds covering the postage value and surcharged with the small 5/- under the tribal name in red (two E and two A), one stamp being affected by the card fold. Only seven cards survive, with the red card offered here being the finest
