Description
South West Africa. Tribal Taxes; Ondonga. Display page with an imperforate block of four (two pairs) of the 1931 5/- green and brown with a silver bar blocking out "postage" and overprinted Ondonga in black, ex BW Archives. Also a Registration card with payments for 1933-1938 with a scarce horizontal bi-lingual pair and three single examples of the 1931 5/- green and brown with Ondonga overprint on the silver bar and a 1938 ½d black and green with the overprint Ondangua, an alternative name for Ondonga, with large red 5/- above the tribal name. The stamps are all cancelled with oval cancels and are in good condition considering the usage of this card; the card itself rather worn
