1851 3d orange-vermilion 'Beaver' on laid paper, horizontal pair with good to very large margins, used with individual target cancels. The right stamp with internal defect, still very fine appearance. An attractive pair of Canada's first stamp, with lovely colour. Ex Royal Philatelic Collection (Spink 17 May 2001, lot 116).
