Hynd, who served in the Great War as a Driver with the Pioneer Company Royal Engineers (Territorial Force) 65th Lowland Divisional Engineers comprising, Efficiency Medal, GVIR, Ind Imp, Territorial suspension, (27555389 Pte. Harry G. Hynd was born in Dunfermline, Scotland on the 27th of September 1892, he worked as a Textile Draughtsman in Glasgow prior to his enlistment into the Pioneer Company Royal Engineers (Territorial Force) 65th Lowland Divisional Engineers on the 19th of November 1915 He served at Curragh Barracks Training Centre Ireland until the 3rd of September 1918 when he proceeded to join the B.E.F. in France. He was transferred to the Z Reserve on the 23rd of April 1919. He is entitled to a British War and Victory Medal
