Description
The 1914 Star awarded to Bandsman Frank Robinson, 2nd Battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) who Joined the Army aged 14 in 1895, had Served in the Boer War and was awarded a Mention in Despatches in June 1915 comprising 1914 Star, (5374 Pte F. Robinson. 2/Sco. Rif.), very fine. The 1914 Star awarded to Private Henry Searle, 1st Battalion Cheshire Regiment who served in France from the 7th of October 1914 until Discharged – No Longer Physically Fit for Military Service – on the 10th of September 1915 comprising 1914 Star, (6927 Pte H. Searle. Ches: R.), very fine (2)

Frank Robinson joined the Scottish Rifles on the 21st of September 1895 stating that he was a 14-year-old Tailor from Aylesbury. He served in South Africa from the 27th of November 1900 to the 9th of April 1902 receiving the Queen’s South Africa Medal with the clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. He served in France and Flanders from the 5th of November 1914 returning to Home on the 3d of March 1916 in a Training Capacity at Regimental Depot, he was Discharged, Time Expired on the 21st of August 1918.
