The 1914 Star awarded to Private Alexander Adams, 2nd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers who had been previously Invalided home from South Africa comprising, 1914 Star, Copy Aug-Nov Clasp, (6009 Pte A. Adams. R. Innis: Fus.), very fine
Pte Alexander served with the 1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers in the Boer War, a native of Belfast he enlisted in 1898 he is entitled to the Queen’s South Africa medal, 1899-1902 with 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, the QSA Medal Roll shows Invalided to England. He Landed in France on the 29th of Aug 1914 serving until the 9th of October 1915 when he was Discharged at Londonderry “Time Expired” after serving 17 years with the Colours.
