The North Africa 8th Army Italy Group Attributed to Private Raymond Alfred Gregg, 2/5th Battalion The Queen’s Royal Regiment (West Surrey) who Died of Wounds on the 7th December 1943 his group comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star - 8th Army Clasp, Italy Star, 1939-45 Defence Medal 1939-45 War Medal, all unnamed as issued
Raymond was wounded on the 25th of September 1943, and had been reported as wounded to his family, he Died of his wounds on the 7th of December 1943 and is Buried in Minturno War Cemetery Italy, Plot 1,, Row F, Grave 22, he was the son of George and Mary Ann Gregg of Oakham, Rutland he was 21 years old when he was killed.

They proceeded to have: Emily Jane in 1909, Winnie in 1913, Phyllis in 1914, Leslie in 1919, Raymond Alfred (who dies in 1943 Minturno) in 1922 and Dennis in 1925.
